These lovely abalone Mexican earrings are crafted to show a moon and stars design. Our Mexican earrings are produced by hand in the picturesque town of Taxco using sustainable abalone shell.

The fixing are silver plated.  The earrings come in a recycled sari gift pouch.

Sustainability
We receive our abalone earrings from our supplier who obtain them from Mexico where they are farmed. They are not caught from the wild and so the supply is sustainable and does not destroy any natural habitat or wild abalones.  The meat is popular in Japan and is exported there, and then the discarded shells are sold for jewellery making.

These earrings are Fair Trade and handmade in Mexico, where the artisans who make them are provided with the fair working conditions and wages they deserve.
